This is the new TFFN parts auction forum for the benefit of TFFN and its' members. The idea is that if a member has a part to donate, they can do it in a one week auction format. Since this is internal to TFFN, the high bidder will be getting the part for what will likely be a good deal less than the same part would bid up to on eBay or other national auction sites. The auctioneer gets the credit as a TFFN supporter, the buyer gets a part that they need or want, and TFFN gets the money so David can keep on buying bandwidth and forum upgrades for what has become an electronic clubhouse for so many of us. Everyone gets something. So lets make this a success, and it should be quite entertaining for all involved.

-Mike Schnur

The Basic Rules

1) These auctions will run for one week, but the auctioneer can end them at any time the final day, so there can be no last second sniping of a bid. This isn't eBay. If you want the item, bid the amount you are willing to pay, and make your post short and sweet, it can even be the dollar amount and nothing else.

2) All auctions are to benefit TFFN, you have the choice of whether to donate 50% or 100% of the proceeds to TFFN. Please state the donation percentage in the auction subject line. Shipping will be paid by the winning bidder of the item. If the winning bidder is outside the US, they are responsible for the higher shipping cost plus customs fees.

3) The items auctioned can be parts, accessories, memorabilia, or collectibles for or pertaining to Falcons, Comets, or Econolines. No off topic items please, and no pick-up only items, all items should be shippable.

4) Please post a picture of the item you are auctioning. If you can not post pictures to the Internet, but can send them via email, send them to me at mschnur@fastq.com and I'll post them for you.

5) Brand new members may bid on an item, but are discouraged from auctioning an item until they have been here for long enough, and have posted often enough for us to get to know you. If you are new here, your post count is in the single digits, and you try to auction a part, it will likely be taken down. Nothing personal, it's just that we don't have any idea who you are or if you'll take the money and run. You probably wouldn't get many bids for that reason anyway.

6) Suggested payment by the winning bidder can be Paypal or a postal money order, because both are fast, and Paypal charges about 3% to the seller so it's not that big a deal. However payment is made, it must clear first, then the part should be sent, and a payment should be made to the TFFN via Paypal once the deal is consummated. Make the payment here: http://www.tffn.net/donate.html If you don't have a Paypal account, get one - it's free and very convenient.

7) Please bid on an item only if you plan to use it on your car. Do not bid if you plan to resell it on eBay for a profit, the purpose of these auctions is for the benefit of TFFN and its' members. Most of the donors sell stuff on eBay frequently, and it would be easy for us to put these items there and make money, but we choose to auction them here instead, for less or no profit, for the members who may not otherwise be able to bid big bucks on the same item there. If you win an item and then turn around and put it on eBay, we will know and your future bids may be deleted.

8) If the winner of an auction falls off the face of the earth, says the dog needs an operation, or the price of a carton of Salems went up again, the next highest bidder will win the item.

9) This is for fun and charity, so lets keep it fun and charitable.
