In mid year 1970 with Falcon sales dropping off an attempt was made to revive the sales. That was done by switching to the Torino platform. However, all falcons were post cars where the Torinos got the hardtop option. At the time Falcons were evidently so hard to sell that some of the dealers actually rebadged the remaining Falcons as Torinos. If you happen to see a Torino 2 door post coup then it would have been one of the Falcons that were rebadged. At the end of the production year Falcon was dropped as far as American made goes. The falcon was continued in Australia (where it still is manufactured), Argentinian (Where I think it is also still manufactured) and possibly some other countries.
